John Lindsay 
John was born on August 27th, 1728 in Caroline Co., Virginia. John's father was James Lindsay and his mother was Sarah Daniel. He was an only child. He died at the age of 72 in December 1800.General Notes
John moved to Halifax Co., North Carolina. He was a militiaman in French
and Indian War 1756-1758, H. S. V. 7-220.
John and Mary Lindsay were married in a religious ceremony before 1754 in Fairfax Co., Virginia. They had three sons and five daughters, named John, Jr., Edward, James, Anna, Elizabeth, Judith, Mary "Polly" and Susanna.
