Richard Chitwood 
Richard was born in 1722 in Virginia. Richard's father was Matthias Chitwood and his mother was May Key. He had five brothers named Eliner, Matthias, William, John and Capt. James. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 63 in 1785 in Rutherford Co., North Carolina.
They had five sons and three daughters, named James, Daniel, Richard, Seth, John, Isabella Elizabeth, Mary Ann and Catherine.

James was born on June 21st, 1751 in Cumberland Co., Virginia. He died at the age of 88 in 1839 in Campbell Co., Tennessee.
