Is in the 1860 Marion County, FL, census as "B. L. Lewis" with his children from his first marriage. He then married Sarah Wiggins on 28 Mar 1861, and shows up with his new family in the 1870 Hernando County, FL, census. His widow Sarah received a pension for his service in the 1837 Indian Wars in Florida. He received a Federal land patent in 1855 in Marion County, FL, for his miltary service. He is also in the 1840 census for Darlington, SC, before moving to Florida.
