William Lewis, Jr. 
William was born in 1690 in Northern Ireland. William's father was William Lewis and his mother was Mary McClelland. His paternal grandparents were Jean John (Lewis) Louis and Sarah Nicholas. He was an only child. He died at the age of 65 in 1755 in North Carolina.General Notes
In 1735, Henry McCulloch was granted 60,000 acres of land along the Black River, north of present-day Wilmington, NC, and he convinced many families in Northern Ireland to move to this area, including William Lewis, Jr., who brought his family (wife's name unknown) to the Black River area of North Carolina in 1736.
He had a biological son named William.
