Ruby Isabelle was born on January 17th, 1903 in Kenniston,Ward Co,North Dakota. Ruby Isabelle's father was Elkanah John (Albert) Dodd and her mother was Elizabeth Ann (Lizzie) Somers. Her paternal grandparents were Amzi Dodd and Rebecca Gibson; her maternal grandparents were Edward Somers and Elizabeth Ann Ellis. She had three brothers and six sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Dodd, George Owen, Wilbur Edward, Elsie, Eva, Edna Faye, Myrtle I, Dorie, Leola, Dodd and Dodd. She died due to ovarian cancer at the age of 48 on July 15th, 1951 in Portland,Multnomah,Oregon. She was buried on July 17th, 1951 in Fir Hill Cemetery,Sandy,Clackamas,Oregon.General Notes
