John Garner Stephenson 
John Garner was born on October 27th, 1787 in Little Levels Dist.,Pocahontas County,WV. John Garner's father was Alexander Stephenson and his mother was Sarah Ann Ewing. His paternal grandparents were James III Stephenson and Ann Garner; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Ewing and Eleanor. He had six brothers and a sister, named Alexander II, David Ewing, Elijah, George, Joshua, Samuel and Nancy Ann. He died at the age of 69 on May 8th, 1857 in Nicholas County,West Virginia.-
