George Stephenson

George's father was Alexander Stephenson and his mother was Sarah Ann Ewing. His paternal grandparents were James III Stephenson and Ann Garner; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Ewing and Eleanor. He had six brothers and a sister, named John Garner, Alexander II, David Ewing, Elijah, Joshua, Samuel and Nancy Ann.
