Joshua Tefft 
Joshua was born about 1646 in Portsmouth,Newport Co.,RI. Joshua's father was John Tefft and his mother was Mary Barber. His paternal grandfather was William Tefft. He had a brother and two sisters, named Samuel, Mary and Tabitha. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died on January 18th, 1676 in South Kingstown,Washington Co.,RI.General Notes
He was captured by the Indians and later joined them against his own people in the King Phillip's War. He was executed by the English.
