John Greathouse 
John was born on February 13th, 1756 in Harrison Co,Virginia. John's father was William or Wilhelm Greathouse and his mother was Barbra Shatzin Schultz. His paternal grandparents were John (or Johann) Greathouse and Amelia Miller. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Michael, Gabriel, Catherine, Mary and Amelia Ann. He was the oldest of the six children. He had a half-brother named William.-
