Nicholas Gardiner 
Nicholas was born about 1654 in Newport,Newport Co. RI. Nicholas' father was George Gardiner and his mother was Herodias Long. His paternal grandparents were Michael Gardiner and Margaret Browne. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Benoni, Henry, George , Jr., William, Samuel, Dorcas and Rebecca. He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Edward, Robert, Benoni, Robert, Joseph, Peregrine, Lydia and Mary. He died in 1712.General Notes
