John Butler 
John was born about 1609. John's father was Thomas Butler and his mother was Elizabeth Poyntz. His paternal grandparents were Walter Butler and Helena UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were John Poyntz and Elizabeth Sydenham. He had two brothers and four sisters, named James, Richard of Kilcash, Mary of Thurles, Eleanor, Elizabeth of Ormond and Ellen. He was the second oldest of the seven children.-
