Perry Pearson was born on November 26th, 1897 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Perry Pearson's father was John Wilson Winstead and his mother was Anna Lawson. His paternal grandparents were John Winstead and Fanny Lawson; his maternal grandparents were Herman Lawson and Johnson. He had six brothers and a sister, named William Anderson, Lonnie, Jesse, Frank, James, John Wilson and Mary Ann. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Marshall Walter, Morse, Mabel, Bessie L. and Fannie. He died at the age of 88 on February 9th, 1986 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
