Frank was born on August 21st, 1894. Frank's father was John Wilson Winstead and his mother was Anna Lawson. His paternal grandparents were John Winstead and Fanny Lawson; his maternal grandparents were Herman Lawson and Johnson. He had six brothers and a sister, named William Anderson, Lonnie, Jesse, Perry Pearson, James, John Wilson and Mary Ann. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Marshall Walter, Morse, Mabel, Bessie L. and Fannie.-
