Simms 
Simms was born in 1745 in Charles County, Maryland. Simms' father was Fidelmus Simms and her mother was Elizabeth Bryan. Her paternal grandparents were Anthony Semmes and Ann Sissons. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Mark, Elizabeth and Simms. She was the third oldest of the five children.-
