Simms 
Simms was born in 1742 in Charles County, Maryland. Simms' father was Fidelmus Simms and her mother was Elizabeth Bryan. Her paternal grandparents were Anthony Semmes and Ann Sissons. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Mark, Elizabeth and Simms. She was the second oldest of the five children.-
