Electius Simms 
Electius was born about 1698 in Charles County, Maryland. Electius' father was Anthony Semmes and his mother was Ann Sissons. His paternal grandparents were Marmaduke Semmes and Fortune Watson; his maternal grandparents were Edward Sissons and Alice. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Marmaduke, Anthony, Fidelmus, Bertha, Mary and Jane. He was the third oldest of the seven children.-
