Catherine Simms 
Catherine was born in 1768 in Charles County, Maryland. Catherine's father was Joseph Semmes and her mother was Elizabeth Dent. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Semmes and Lucretia Chapman; her maternal grandfather was Michael Dent. She had a brother and a sister, named Francis and Victoria. She was the youngest of the three children.-
