Walter Benjamin Shipley 
Walter Benjamin was born on July 23rd, 1895 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Walter Benjamin's father was George C. Shipley and his mother was Margaret Elvira Dickson. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Shipley and Edna Mauk; his maternal grandparents were William Samuel Dickson and Sarah Brown. He had a brother and four sisters, named Oscar Franklin, Ella Susan, Laura Della, Margaret Ethel and Effie Edna. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 56 on May 16th, 1952.-
