Walter Franklin Shehorn 
Walter Franklin was born in 1906 in Johnsonville, Wayne, Illinois. Walter Franklin's father was John Henry Shehorn and his mother was Betty Reed Holmes. His paternal grandparents were Giles Harrison Shehorn and Ammogine Horton; his maternal grandparents were Robert Morris and Roscetie Bell Watson. He had five brothers and a sister, named Clarence Harris, Willie Chester, Charles Arthur, Albert Eugene, Ernest Sampson and Myrtle May. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 19 on January 22nd, 1925 in , , Iowa.-
