John Shawhan 
John was born on October 2nd, 1811 in , Harrison, Kentucky. John's father was Joseph Shawhan and his mother was Sarah Ewalt. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Shawhan and Margaret Bell; his maternal grandparents were Henry Ewalt and Elizabeth Frye. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry Ewalt, Daniel, William, Sarah Elizabeth, Margaret and Rebecca. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 51 on October 2nd, 1862 in Morgan, Pendleton, Kentucky.-
