Nancy Shanks 
Nancy was born in 1855 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Nancy's father was Henry Shanks and her mother was Jane. Her paternal grandparents were Christian Shanks and Margaret Pearson. She had three brothers named Harvey, Jack and Gaines. She was the second oldest of the four children.
