Nancy was born on November 22nd, 1797 in Rockingham Co., NC. Nancy's father was James Oliver and her mother was Susannah Lemons. Her paternal grandparents were George Oliver and Jemima Reagan; her maternal grandfather was John Lemons. She had three brothers and four sisters, named John, James, Samuel, Mary, Sarah, Susannah and Elizabeth. She was the youngest of the eight children.-
