Palestine Murrell 
Palestine was born in 1868 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Palestine's father was James Orville Murrell and his mother was Amanda Lawson. His paternal grandparents were Pleasant Murrell and Susan Trent; his maternal grandparents were Banks Lawson and Thersey Parvin. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Dalzell Harrison, Pleasant, James, Marilla and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the six children.-
