George Mayo 
George was born in 1840 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. George's father was Richard P. Mayo and his mother was Elizabeth. His paternal grandparents were Reuben Mayo and Jane. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, William, James, Wilie W., Nancy Ann, Mary, Sarah and Texana. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
