Isabel was born on October 9th, 1200 in Lincoln, England. Isabel's father was William Marshal 1st Earl Of Pembroke and her mother was Isabel De Clare. Her paternal grandparents were John Marshal and Sibyl Devereaux; her maternal grandparents were Richard Strongbow De Clare 2nd Earl Of Pembroke and Eva Of Leinster. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Anselm, Gilbert, Richard, Walter, William, Margaret, Sibyl, Eve, Joanna and Maud.-
