Margaret's father was Ireson Longacre and her mother was Anne Sharp. Her maternal grandparents were John Sharp and Elizabeth Laughlin. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Addison, Ireson W., John, Amanda, Ann Marie and Sarah Sharp.-
