Valera Lawson 
Valera was born in 1866 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Valera's father was Curren Lawson and her mother was Mary. Her paternal grandparents were Banks Lawson and Thersey Parvin. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, George, Thomas, Paralee, Amanda and Sarah E.. She was the third oldest of the seven children.
