Myrtle was born in 1900 in Virginia. Myrtle's father was Henry J. Kite and her mother was Clara L. Lucas. Her paternal grandparents were William Kite and Elizabeth Kite. She had three brothers named Collie C., Mohler and Burtis. She was the youngest of the four children.-
