Thomas Blount was born on June 28th, 1813 in , , NC. Thomas Blount's father was Thomas Blount Hill and his mother was Rebecca Norfleet. His paternal grandparents were Whitmell Hill and Winifred Blount; his maternal grandparents were Reuben Norfleet and Mary Figures. He had a brother and four sisters, named Whitmel John, Mary Louisa, Marie Antoinette, Eliza Blount and Winifred Blount. He died at the age of 75 on August 18th, 1888 in Hillsborough, Orange, NC.-
