Elkanah Harr 
Elkanah was born on March 23rd, 1823 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Elkanah's father was John Simon Harr and his mother was Lydia Hicks. His paternal grandparents were John Harr and Susannah Snapp. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John William, Adam Leonadas, Mary Ann, Elizabeth Ann and Lydia. He was the third youngest of the six children.-
