John William Goff 
John William was born on May 10th, 1812 in Rockingham Co., NC. John William's father was William Goff and his mother was Mary Oliver. His paternal grandparents were William Goff and Nancy; his maternal grandparents were James Oliver and Susannah Lemons. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Josephus, James Oliver, Samuel, Robert Oliver, George Oliver, Daniel, Susannah, Nancy, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 63 on January 31st, 1876.-
