Hugh George 
Hugh was born on August 1st, 1793 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Hugh's father was James Jordan George and his mother was Elizabeth Pemberton. His paternal grandparents were James George and Elizabeth Nodan; his maternal grandparents were John Pemberton Colonel and Elizabeth Stanton. He had a brother and five sisters, named Charles Nodan, Sarah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Frances and Eliza. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named James Dugger, William Jordan, John H., Mary, Edna, Charlotte, Sarah D. and Margaret.-
