Jacob was born in 1789 in Pennsylvania.  Jacob's father was John Adam Geisler and his mother was Anna Kuny.  His maternal grandparents were Adam Kuhny and Anna. He had a brother named John.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 76 in 1865 in Tennessee.
