John Walter Erwin

John Walter was born on July 8th, 1879 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.  John Walter's father was John Erwin and his mother was Minerva Jane Smith.  His paternal grandparents were David Erwin and Sarah Hawley; his maternal grandparents were Martin Smith and Sarah A.. He had two brothers and four sisters, named James Edgar, Devreau Erwin, Effie P., Marie Emma, Olenia and Sarah Angie.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 61 in January 1941.
