William James Droke 
William James was born on September 13th, 1868 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. William James' father was George Washington Droke and his mother was Christina Morton. His paternal grandparents were John Droke and Isabel Wolford. He had seven brothers and a sister, named John Martin, Samuel Isaac, Marshal Elkanah, Joseph Benjamin, David Miller, Thomas Bruce, Charles Wolford and Susan Eleanor. He was the oldest of the nine children.-
