David Doty 
David was born in February 1840 in Franklin Twsp., Wayne, Ohio. David's father was Joseph Picket Doty and his mother was Catharine Ann Parr. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Doty and Rosanna Sowards; his maternal grandfather was John Parr. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Moses, Joseph Picket, Agness, Sarah, Mary Ellen, Anna C., Nancy Jane and Editha J.. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Jasper Newton, Sarah D., Capitola, Margaret, Ida Isora and Minnie A.. He died at the age of 77 on March 17th, 1917 in Moccasin Twsp., Effingham, Illinois.-
