John Dickson

John was born in 1822 in Of Sullivan County, TN.  John's father was William Howard Dickson and his mother was Mary Shipley.  His paternal grandparents were John Shipley and Rachel Howard. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William Samuel, Pleasant C., Nathan Shipley, Elizabeth, Margaret and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 88 in 1910.
