Margie was born in 1889 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  Margie's father was Emanuel R. Cox and her mother was Elizabeth Christian.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Cox and Barbara Hammond; her maternal grandparents were Joseph U. Christian and Sarah. She had five brothers and four sisters, named George Washington, William A., Joseph W., Samuel Rufus, Cornelius, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth Frances and Jennie.  She was the youngest of the ten children.  She died in Deceased.
