Leroy Chambers 
Leroy was born about 1884 in , Effingham, Illinois. Leroy's father was Samuel Benton Chambers and his mother was Sarah Ann Tipsword. His paternal grandparents were William Chambers and Amy Sealock; his maternal grandparents were Griffin Tipsword and Elizabeth Banning. He had a brother and a sister, named Corry Albert and Bessie. He was the oldest of the three children. He had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Leroy, Owen Leslie, Cecil J., Jenning Bryan, Isaiah Don and Laura Mabelle.-
