Florence Rowena was born in 1887. Florence Rowena's father was George Washington Shipley Brown and her mother was Susan La Wi Na Horn. Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Brown and Christena E. Shipley. She had two brothers and a sister, named James Mcneil, William Jehue and Margaret Christena. She was the second oldest of the four children.-
