John Boykin 
John's father was Wi1liam Boykin and his mother was Margaret Vicars. His paternal grandparents were Edward Boykin and Ann Gwaltney; his maternal grandfather was Ralph Vicars. He had three brothers and a sister, named Simon, Thomas, William and Martha. He died in 1762 in Halifax Co., NC.-
