Samuel Blessing 
Samuel was born in 1832 in Washington County, Virginia. Samuel's father was Solomon Blessing and his mother was Mary Anderson. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Blessing and Elizabeth Messersmith. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John A., James A., Jacob Rector, George Washington, Elizabeth, Catherine E., Sarah and Ann E.. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He had two half-sisters named Mary and Armetta.-
