Elizabeth was born about 1759 in Berks Co., PA. Elizabeth's father was Jacob Blessing and her mother was Elizabeth Ritschart. Her maternal grandparents were Christian Ritschart and Magdalena Wolf. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Lewis, John, Abraham, Christian, Henry, Barbara, Magdalena, Catharine and Christina.-
