Ellen Akard 
Ellen was born in 1847 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Ellen's father was James Akard and her mother was Eliza Carlton. Her paternal grandparents were Adam Akard and Elizabeth Wassom. She had a brother and a sister, named Eldridge Decatur and Sarah Ruth. She was the oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 13 in 1860.-
