Eldridge Decatur was born on July 28th, 1854 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Eldridge Decatur's father was James Akard and his mother was Eliza Carlton. His paternal grandparents were Adam Akard and Elizabeth Wassom. He had two sisters named Ellen and Sarah Ruth. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 71 on September 28th, 1925.-
