Hugh was born in 1844 in SC. Hugh's father was Andrew W HENDERSON and his mother was Anna LOFTIS. His paternal grandparents were Hugh HENDERSON and Drucilla LAKE; his maternal grandparents were James LOFTIS and Catherine (Katsey) MORRIS. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Calvin William , Alfred , James C, Perry H, Andrew Powell , William Henry , Melissa, Drucilla E, Louisa and Caroline .
