Willis Gaylord was born on February 26th, 1859 in Richmond, Wayne Co., IN . Willis Gaylord 's father was Nathan DOAN and his mother was Anna Elizabeth "Annie" DOWNING. His paternal grandparents were Joseph DOAN and Eliza D. CARPENTER. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Charles Henry , Walter Joseph , Mary Ellen , Frances Eliza , Alice Jane and Annie Elizabeth . He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jessie Pyle , George Nathan and Mary Elizabeth . He died at the age of 4 on December 17th, 1863 in Richmond, Wayne Co., IN .-
