Narrative
Walter E. Hottel was a graduate of the Indiana State University, 1895. He was a city attorney of Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana from 1902-1904. As a member of the Indiana Legislature, 1897, he voted to pass the county option law. He was a member of the Bloomington city school board and was president of the board in 1916. He later served as its secretary.
