Ealdgyth of Mercia 
Ealdgyth was born in 1034 in of Mercia, England.1 Ealdgyth's father was AElfgar III of Mercia Earl of Mercia and her mother was Elfgifu (Elgiva) of Wessex. Her paternal grandparents were Leofric III Earl of Mercia and Godiva (Godgifu) of Coventry; her maternal grandparents were Ethelred II the Unready King of England and Elfflaed (Elfreda) of Wessex. She had a brother and a sister, named Edwyn Tegeingl and Lucy. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Gorm and Ealdgyth (AEglithia). She died at the age of 52 in 1086.1 -
