Maud was born about 1282 in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, Wales.1   Maud's father was Patric de Chaworth II Lord Kidwillyin and her mother was Isabella de Beauchamp.  Her paternal grandparents were Patric de Chaworth and Hawise de Londres; her maternal grandparents were William de Beauchamp Earl of Warwick and Maud FitzJohn. She had two half-brothers named Hugh le Despenser the Younger and Phillip.  She died before December 3rd, 1322 in England.  She was buried in Mottisfont Priory.1
